Todd County Central High School is working to better students for graduation and beyond.
One of the key players in ensuring that students are ready for the next step is Rachel Westerman, the College and Career Coach at the school. During a recent visit with the Elkton Rotary Club, Westerman shared more information about the opportunities offered to students.
Two big programs include dual-credit courses and the early college learning model in partnership with Hopkinsville Community College.
In the work-based experience program, Westerman said 49 students participated in co-op opportunities last school year.
She added that the HOPFAME program, through HCC, is another great program that is helping Todd County students.
Westerman said the support for Todd County students continues to climb, especially when it comes to scholarships handed out to the Class of 2024.
Westerman added that she is even helping those who are not high school students who are seeking a better job.
Westerman can be contacted by calling TCCHS at (270) 265-2506.
