Louis Buckley, Jr., 82, of Trenton

Mr. Louis S. Buckley Jr. age 82 of Trenton, KY passed away Saturday, September 14, 2024 1:38 p.m. at Hearthstone Place in Elkton, KY. Services will be Friday, September 20, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Latham Funeral Home in Elkton, KY with Rev. Bill Oliver officiating.

Burial will follow in the Bells Chapel Cemetery in Todd County. Visitation will be on Friday, September 20, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m. at Latham Funeral Home. Services will be live-streamed at lathamfuneralhome.com.

Mr. Louis was born in Nashville, TN, on October 3, 1941. He was a farmer and operated Shady Haven Game Bird Farm. His family also owned and operated Buckley’s Record Shop on Lower Broad in Nashville, TN for many years. He was a member of Guthrie Baptist Church where he had taught Sunday School. He enjoyed hunting and raising quail and pheasants. He is preceded in death by his parents Louis S. Buckley Sr. and Gertrude Brown Buckley, his son Robert Glenn ”Bob” Sholar, and his sister Betty Fuller.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy “Sissy” Hampton Buckley of Trenton, KY, his daughter Ann Hampton Osborn and her husband Will of Trenton, KY, his sons Patrick Allen Sholar of Trenton, KY, and Louis Buckley III of Nashville, TN, and his grandchildren Briann Griffith and her husband Dave, Patrick Osborn, Mary Sholar, Gus Sholar, Jean Ann Sholar and Hank Sholar, Louis Buckley IV and Thomas Buckley his great-grandchildren Spencer Pool, Mac Griffith, Jude Griffith, Hayes Osborn, Hazel Ann Sholar and Waylon Sholar.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to the people at Hearthstone Place in Elkton, KY who took such good care of Mr. Louis and the family as well.
