The Todd County Library will close its current location Saturday, Sept. 7.
The library will be temporarily closed until next month in order to relocate to its brand-new location on S. Main St. Community members are invited to continue using the library at its existing location and checking out books until Sept. 7. Materials do not need to be returned while the library is closed.
The $4.1 million project has seen some delays through the recent months, but the new library is slated to celebrate its grand opening in October.
The new facility, made possible by a Public Library Facilities Fund Grant from the Kentucky Department for Libraries and Archives (KDLA), spans almost 13,000 square feet after its completed construction. The increased size will be able to better accommodate the community and provide Todd County with many new services, including conference rooms, archives, a mom’s room and more.
