Todd County is bringing a special Elkton tradition to Louisville for the 120th Kentucky State Fair.
The Todd County Chamber of Commerce is making its first state fair appearance by teaming up with Logan County to promote tourism for the region. Chamber Director Tiffany Groves says the team is bringing “Mar-hay-o” – one of the exhibits from last year’s Hay Bale Trail – to showcase as part of the fair’s Pride of the County exhibits.
Groves shares the the hay bale sculpture recently underwent a spa day, bringing new life to some of Mar-hay-o’s faded colors. Mar-hay-o will make his debut Thursday, Aug. 15 for County Fairs Day, where the fair will unveil its new exhibit celebrating all 120 of Kentucky’s counties.
The 2024 Kentucky State Fair will be held Thursday, Aug. 15 through Sunday, Aug. 25 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville.
