A former mayor of Elkton passed away earlier this week following a nine-month battle with cancer.
85-year-old Nancy Camp, died Tuesday evening at Hearthstone Place in Elkton. Camp served as mayor from 2005 to 2013, spending 20 years on Elkton City Council and 47 years working at Elkton Bank and Trust before that.
Nancy is survived by her daughter, Cindy Sidebottom, granddaughter Grace Sidebottom, two sisters-in-law Lou Camp and Wanda Thomas, and countless nieces and nephews. She was a member of Green Ridge Baptist Church.

A public visitation will be held Friday morning, August 2, 2024, from 10:00 to Noon at Latham Funeral Home in Elkton. Private graveside services will follow.
