The Elkton Rotary Club played host to District 6710 Governor Dr. Dale Leatherman during its weekly meeting on Wednesday afternoon.
Leatherman, a member of the Hopkinsville club and Chief Business Affairs Officer at Hopkinsville Community College, spoke on district initiatives and the Rotary International vision statement.
He broke down the vision statement into a few key points.
Leatherman added the global effort of Rotary International is quite impactful.
Leatherman encouraged the club to continue making a lasting impact on the Todd County community. He applauded the efforts of the club with the Firecracker 5K that raises funds to purchase new shoes for Todd County students.
The club was also named a ‘Star Club’ for the 2023-24 year since members donated on average $228.75 to Rotary International to support efforts worldwide.
