District 16 Representative Jason Petrie and District 32 Senator Mike Wilson were in Elkton earlier this week to bring conformation of state funding that is coming to Todd County.
Judge-Executive Todd Mansfield told Your WEKT News Edge during the 3rd of July Firework live broadcast that the representatives brought the ceremonial checks.
The funding will be delivered to the City of Guthrie over a period of two years, as soon as backlogged audits are caught up. The second portion of funding, $1.75 million will go to Todd County Fiscal Court for park and high school technology center upgrades.
Both funding opportunities were approved during the 2024 Kentucky budget cycle. The state legislature crafts a new budget every two years.
