The Todd County Funeral Home is honored to have been called to serve the family of Mrs. Shirley Gardner.
Mrs. Shirley Gardner age 80 of Hornbeak, Tennessee and formerly of Allensville, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, May 28th, 2024, at her home.
Mrs. Gardner was born December 18th, 1943, in Logan County, Kentucky daughter of the late Edgar and Laura Shemwell Whitescarver. She was Baptist by faith, loved her family, playing on her computer, flower gardening and cooking.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Harry Gardner as well as one brother Estill Whitescarver. She is survived by one son JV Gardner and wife Timberly of Hornbeak, three daughters Kim Wheeler and husband Robert Lee of Russellville, Kentucky, Lori Richards and husband Cory of Hornbeak and Pebbles Case and husband Ronnie of Hornbeak. She is also survived by one brother Dean Whitescarver of Lewisburg and one sister Sandra Adler of Russellville. Also surviving are ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Visitation with the Gardner family will be held on Friday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 at the Todd County Funeral Home. Funeral service is scheduled to be held on Saturday morning, June 1st, at 11:00, in the Rose Chapel of the Todd County Funeral Home with Shane Hessey officiating, interment to follow at the Mt. Zion Church Cemetery in Cloverdale, Tennessee.
