In response to recent power outages affecting Todd County, Petrie Memorial Methodist Church, is stepping up to provide essential services for those in need.

Pastor Willard Knipp told Your WEKT News Edge the church will open its doors to offer shower facilities and charging stations for electronic devices. Adding, they will offer showers on Wednesday and Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 AM and 5:00 to 7:00 PM.

He added depending on the needs, additional days and extended time slots may be arranged.

The church is equipped with a total of eight showers, distributed across two floors. Women will use the showers on the first floor, while men use those on the second floor. Knipp said single parents with children will be accommodated as needed, and an elevator is available for individuals with mobility issues.

Those planning to use the shower facilities will need to bring their towels, washcloths, and toiletries. Individuals needing to charge their electronic devices should bring their charging cords.

For more information or to request a different time to use the showers, you can call the church office between 9:00 AM and 4:30 PM at (270) 265-2298.
