A State of Emergency has been declared in Todd County following Sunday’s severe weather.

Around 9:20 AM Sunday, Fort Campbell officials issued a tornado warning — and soon after, trees were discovered down all across the installation.

A rare Moderate risk for severe storms (level 4/5) has been issued for western Kentucky, ahead of the next round of late afternoon/overnight thunderstorms.

Widespread damage is being reported across Todd County after the first round of severe weather Sunday morning.

In a Sunday morning conversation with Your News Edge’s Alan Watts, Governor Andy Beshear said that as of lunchtime, his office didn’t have any reports of deaths or serious injuries in south western Kentucky.

Over 100,000 people in western Kentucky are without power due to Sunday morning’s storms that topped trees and power lines.
