Bluegrass Splash Family Aquatic Center in Hopkinsville has announced its highly anticipated opening day is Saturday.
After closing early last year for essential repairs and maintenance, officials are noting the park is “back, and better than ever,” with a promising season of summer fun for the surrounding communities.
For this occasion, Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation will be on-site from 10 AM until 2 PM with giveaways, including free day and season passes, and guests can also enjoy half-price fountain drinks for the afternoon.
The leak causing concern last season has been repaired under the supervision of the City Maintenance Department. Additional off-season maintenance and improvements were conducted to ensure that the park is in peak condition for its return, including the installation of a new line to the pump house to address previous concerns about water pressure, and thorough testing of the pool and pumps to certify optimal performance.
