Mrs. Serena Louise Hatcher-Fulps, age 93 of Burlington, KY, and formerly of Kirkmansville, passed away Monday, May 13, 2024, at her residence. Services for Mrs. Serena will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 17, 2024, at Latham Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Humphries and Rev. Don Williams officiating. Services will be live-streamed at lathamfuneralhome.com. Burial will follow in the Johnston Cemetery in Kirkmansville. Visitation for Mrs. Serena will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday at Latham Funeral Home.
Mrs. Serena was born on August 21, 1930, in Evansville, IN. She retired as a secretary for the Hopkins Co. Board of Education and Baker and Hickman in Madisonville, KY. She was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church in Kirmansville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arlett C. and Hazel Elizabeth Williams Shelton, her first husband, Charles Melvin Hatcher, her second husband, Roy Wayne Fulps, her daughter, Glenda Gayle Head, her son, Randall Lee Hatcher and her sister, Ruby Elizabeth Theiss.
Survivors include her daughters, Rebecca Louise Hatcher of Hopkinsville and Sherri Marie Hensley of Burlington, KY; 8 Grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
