The Elkton Rotary Club surpassed the goal set for its 2024 scholarship auction.
The news was shared during a community broadcast, powered by Novelis Friday night on WEKT. Auction co-chair Rhonda Werner shared totals with Rotarians over the weekend, stating that over $36,000 had been raised, far exceeding the $25,000 goal.
Club president Glenn Slack thanked the Todd County community for their support.
Slack added this is a special year for the group, as the club celebrates 100 years of community service.
Auction item pickup continues Monday afternoon from 4:00 to 6:00 at the former Highly Flavored Cafe space on South Main Street in Elkton. Additional monetary donations are still being accepted at pickup, or checks can be mailed to P.O. Box 60; Elkton, Kentucky; 42220.
All proceeds will fund scholarships for seniors of Todd County Central High School.
