Todd County, along with the Kentucky Division of Waste Management, is partnering up to sponsor a series of waste tire collection events March 7-9.
Any Kentucky resident can dispose of any unwanted tires with the exception of tire retailers, scrap and salvage yards, or recycling facilities.
Tires on or off the rim will be accepted from trucks, light trucks, passengers, implements, lawn tractors, bicycles, motorcycles, golf carts, etc. Tires that will not be accepted include foam-filled, calcium-filled, off-road construction tires (OTR), rubber tracks, solid tires with or without a press on rim, and no tires with a bead over 1 1/2 inches thick.
The event will take place at 204 Elk Fork Road in Elkton from 7:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, and Friday, March 8, and 7:30 – 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 9.
