The Todd County Animal Clinic has raised $3,550 for the Todd County Family Resources and Youth Services Center (FRYSC) Backpack Program with its recent raffle fundraiser.
The animal clinic, along with the help of Todd Countian Chris Hamby, organized a special giveaway earlier in the month to raise money for the program, which helps Todd County students facing food insecurity by sending students home with food over the weekend.
First prize, featuring “A Night in Nashville”, included four tickets to a Nashville Predators hockey game and a $300 gift certificate to The Palm Restaurant. It was won by Cacey Crowell who graciously donated back the Predators tickets.
Second prize, which included a $100 gift certificate to the animal clinic, was won by Stacy Monroe, who also donated back the Predators tickets — the tickets were ultimately won by Sara Ward.
The Todd County Animal Clinic family thanks everyone who supported the effort, ranging across the country from Texas to South Carolina.
Youth Services Center coordinator Kelli Templeman writes she is so proud of and thankful for all who gave. She adds the donations will allow the program to finish out the school year with purchasing backpack foods for the students.
