North Todd Elementary Principal Announces Retirement

North Todd Elementary Principal Bruce Voth has announced he will be retiring at the end of the current school year.

His retirement comes after an almost 30-year career in education, beginning at Christian County High School in 1997 as a science teacher and assistant soccer coach. Three years later, he came to TCCHS and has remained in Todd County ever since.

Voth says both of his children started elementary school at North Todd while he was principal and followed him to South Todd Elementary during his brief transition to assistant principal at the school.

Being at North Todd has been the joy of Voth’s life. He says he’s had the opportunity to work with some of the most amazing teachers and the kindest students anyone could hope for. He adds the North Todd families have been a joy to work with as well — specifically the parents who were once his students.

Voth says he will miss his students most of all.

He adds the school is currently in the hiring process and hopes to have a new principal named as soon as Monday. The message he wants to leave to his successor is to be prepared for and ready to embrace a love they might not have experienced anywhere else.

As for his retirement plans, Voth says he is not going anywhere. He plans to stay very active in the school district and is looking forward to volunteering at all the schools, not just North Todd.

Voth’s retirement is effective June 30, 2024, but he will remain a friendly face to all who walk the halls of Todd County’s schools.
