Historic Todd County, Inc. is hosting a BBQ meal on Thursday, Feb. 29 in Elkton to raise money for the rehabilitation of the Historic 1835 Courthouse.
The meal, provided by Pembroke’s Bar-B-Q Shack, will take place at the Pop’s Building on East Main Street from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. with carry-out and delivery orders possible within Elkton.
The cost of the meal is “donations only” which will entirely go toward the Courthouse’s renovation and rehabilitation. Presently, the effort includes continued work on the existing doors and cleanup of the building’s second floor once storage is available.
To assist with rehabilitation efforts, two anonymous Todd Countians have shared they will match the amount fundraised at the event to a combined total of $3,500 – one person matching funds up to $2,500 and the other up to $1,000.
Historic Todd County, Inc. asks the community to spread the word and looks forward to seeing everyone at the event on Thursday. WEKT will broadcast from the event from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
