Reed Congratulates Elkton Rotary On 100 Years Of Community Service

The Elkton Rotary Club continued the 100th-anniversary celebration of the organization Saturday night with a special dinner at the Milliken Memorial Community House in Elkton.

Following in his father’s footsteps, who spoke at the club’s 70th anniversary dinner, Rotary International District 6710 Governor Tom D. Reed, II congratulated the club on reaching the significant milestone.

He added the Elkton Rotary Club has continued to lead the charge behind community improvements.

Reed said that the club has done a lot including hosting the Firecracker 5K, raising money for scholarships for Todd County Central High School seniors, and helping to rebuild the Milliken Memorial House, among others.

Reed, who calls Nelson County home, will continue to serve as Governor of District 6710 through the spring before handing it over to Governor-Elect Dale Leatherman of the Hopkinsville Rotary Club. Leatherman will have assistance in the position with Assistant Governor Mac Johns of the Elkton Rotary Club.
