The City of Elkton was awarded a 2023 Liability Grant from the Kentucky League of Cities.

The funds enable members of the Kentucky League of Cities to provide programs and services that reduce liability and create safer communities. Since 1999, KLC officials indicate they have awarded its insurance members more than $6 million in liability and safety grants.

Executive Director/CEO JD Chaney highlighted the Kentucky League of Cities’ longstanding commitment to safety. He expressed gratitude towards their members and said they are proud to help the City of Elkton, which received $3,000 that was used for a sidewalk replacement project.

The funding was recently presented to Mayor Arthur Green and Assistant City Clerk Kayce Bright by KLC Loss Control Consultant Ben Cook.

KLC Insurance Services, Kentucky’s largest municipal insurance program, offers a range of additional services to cities and organizations, including liability grants.
