Todd County Emergency Management Director Daniel Smith introduced the LEADS program to magistrates last week and is sharing more details about it.
Smith told Your WEKT News Edge that the Todd County Local Emergency Assistance and Disaster Services program will help people in the aftermath of a disaster.
Smith added there will be two branches of the program.
Smith said a kickoff and organizational meeting is being planned for later in the month and will be open to anyone interested in helping out.
He shared that community support for the group has been positive and hopes it continues throughout the entire process.
