Mr. Carl L. Knight, 84, of Elkton, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024, at 11:56 a.m. at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. Services will be on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Latham Funeral Home in Elkton, with Rev. Jimmy Fuller, Rev. Johnny Fuller, and Rev. Terry Joiner officiating. Burial will follow in the Pea Ridge Cemetery in Todd County. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 17, 2024, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Latham Funeral Home in Elkton. Mr. Knight was born May 27, 1939, in Daysville, KY. He was a retired Lineman for Pennyrile Rural Electric after 28 years of service. Mr. Knight loved fishing, hunting, trapping, using his metal detector, arrowhead hunting, watching wrestling, and gardening. He is preceded in death by his parents Corble Leslie “Bud” Knight and Alma Elizabeth Trainer Knight, his brothers William, Ford, George Albert, Joe Knight, and Woodrow Lindsey, his sisters Catherine Knight and Lily Mae Knight.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years Wanda Utley Knight of Elkton, his sons Kent Knight and his wife Penny of Elkton, and Keith Knight and his wife Sherry of Elkton, his daughters Kristi Mallory and her husband Eddie of Elkton and Karen Lyon and her husband Allen of Elkton, his brother Gene Knight of Greenridge, KY and his sister Dorothy Knight of Owensboro, KY, 7 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren
