Camille Harper Dillingham is a 1983 graduate of Todd County Central High School.

After graduating, she attended the University of Kentucky and earned a bachelor’s degree in textile and merchandising in 1987. She then went on to continue her education at Austin Peay State University with another bachelor’s in elementary and special education. Later, she earned a master’s in early childhood education from Murray State University and certifications in school leadership, curriculum instruction and superintendency from Western Kentucky University.

Dillingham has been an educator for 34 years where she has served as a teacher, principal, district administrator and interim superintendent.

She says during her time at Todd Central, there was a lot of school spirit as well as competitive sports teams. She enjoyed being part of the excitement of the community during those years as they supported the school.

Her fondest memories from Todd Central are the friends she made and the extracurricular activities she was involved in, such as cheerleading, Future Homemakers of America, proms, dances and ballgames. Dillingham says she will always cherish her time as a cheerleader, especially having the opportunity to cheer at Rupp Arena during the state tournament.

Dillingham advises current students to do their very best at whatever they are doing because the habits they are developing now will follow them into their adult lives. She adds to enjoy their time at Todd Central because it really is a great place.

To current educators, she says to give all students opportunities and encouragement. She would also tell educators that she appreciates them — their job isn’t easy but it is much needed.

Dillingham was born in Christian County and now lives in Elkton. She is married to Todd Dillingham and has three children, Rachel Meyer, Sarah Francis Glass and Thomas Dillingham.
