Sheryl Powell is a 1971 graduate of Todd County Central High School.
After graduating, she attended Austin Peay State University and earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education before earning a master’s and Rank 1 from Western Kentucky University.
Powell started teaching in 1975 and taught at Clifty Elementary, Central City Elementary and Muhlenberg North Middle School. She retired in 2015 and still teaches part-time.
Powell values memories with friends most from Todd Central. She has fond memories of band activities and going to away games with the pep band.
She advises current students to do their best and enjoy their high school years by participating in school activities.
Powell was born in Russellville, Kentucky and now lives in Elkton. She was married to the late Jim Powell and has three children, Chanda Fowler, Josh Powell and Tara Cox.
