Have you ever wondered what it would be like to win 15 grand on TV?
Faith Love from Elkton doesn’t have to wonder any longer. Love was chosen as a contestant on Let’s Make A Deal during the newest season of Big Money Monday, January 1! During this show, she could either chose a jellybean purse or a small curtain. The purse had formally been revealed as a Zonk, the show’s version of a bad prize, but there was a chance for it to have something else inside.
Love decided on the jellybean purse, even after a second contestant came to the stands and chose the curtain, winning a trip to Jamacia. Then, host Wayne Brady revealed an envelope. He told Love that the envelope could contain something big, but Love stuck with the beans.
After it was revealed that inside the envelope were Zonkey dollars, a Zonk but in worthless cash form, Love finally got to know what was inside the bag of beans! After a moment of suspenion, she found out that inside that bag was FIFTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS! That’s a whole lotta cash.
Love then told the world of TV that she wanted to use the money to help her mom Marina Reyes, who is from Honduras and owns the Taquito Taco truck in Elkton. This kind-hearted individual wanted to use the money that she won to help her mom instead of herself.
Many people in Elkton and the surrounding area have expressed that Love is a kind-hearted and “love”able individual. Congratulations again for the big winnings, Faith Love!
