Electricity Restored To All Todd County Pennyrile Electric Customers

Pennyrile Electric is reporting power has been restored to all customers who were left without power Saturday after a tornado ripped across southern Todd and Logan Counties.

More than 1,500 customers were left without electricity Saturday after more than 50 utility poles were blown down when the tornado moved through. As of Sunday morning, more than 900 customers remained without electricity, with power restored to all customers by Sunday night.

Pennyrile Electric Vice-President of Member Services Brent Gilkey says they received assistance from some neighboring utility cooperatives.

Gilkey says some other companies spent time helping electric crews get electric power back on.

The majority of the power outages were in an area stretching from near Trenton to near Allensville.
