The National Weather Service in Paducah has confirmed a tornado struck portions of southern Todd County Saturday afternoon.
After viewing some of the damage between Trenton and Guthrie, Warning Coordination Meteorologist Christine Wielgos said the damage was caused by a tornado.
The storm’s path was at least a 1/4 mile wide.
The NWS survey of storm damage continues in the Allensville area of Todd County. A full report will be released later Sunday.
Wielgos confirmed to Your News Edge that they will assist crews from the NWS Nashville office, as the survey in the Clarksville area could take a few days.
