The Elkton Police Department along with That Guy Who Fixes Stuff, LLC are partnering to present Todd County’s First Annual Toy Run.
The event will bring the community together to drive throughout the county with toys for Todd County children.
Tara Greene with That Guy Who Fixes Stuff says participating drivers will line up at 9:30 a.m. in the Harbor Freight parking lot in Hopkinsville then begin the route at 10 a.m.
Entry to ride is one new toy per vehicle, valued at $20 or more.
The route will end at the Milliken Memorial House in Elkton.
Greene adds That Guy Who Fixes Stuff will also be giving away a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer.
The toys collected in the Toy Run will be given out at a later date.
Greene says the event already has around 30 vehicles, but the community is more than welcome to show up day-of as well. All makes, models and years of vehicles are welcome and the full route should take around an hour to complete.
Elkton Police Captain Jakop Smith says with being in a small, rural community, there is often not as much manpower compared to other counties for big projects like this.
Smith expresses his thanks to those who have helped make the Toy Run become a reality.
Greene and Smith invite the community to join the ride and help Todd County children have a special Christmas this year.
