The City of Elkton will present its inaugural First Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony Saturday, Nov. 25.
Sponsored by Novelis and the City of Elkton, the event will feature many activities and attractions, including free photos with Santa, Mrs. Claus and their reindeer starting at 3 p.m. at the Welcome Center, live musical performances throughout the event starting at 4 p.m., free carriage rides around Elkton Public Square starting at 5 p.m., sidewalk chalk art and the tree lighting itself.
Elkton Mayor Arthur Green and Todd County native Beth Mann, owner of The Edge Media Group, will light the tree at 6 p.m.
The holiday festivities will begin at 3 p.m. on the historic Elkton Square and will run until 7 p.m.
