A Todd County man was killed in a head-on collision on Guthrie Road Wednesday morning.
Kentucky State Police say a grain truck driven by 66-year-old Edgar Allison of Lewisburg and a passenger car driven by 76-year-old Elmer Laster collided head-on just south of the Old Trenton Road intersection just before 8 a.m.
The crash sent the grain truck off the roadway colliding with a utility pole, causing the truck’s cab to catch fire, but Allison was able to get out uninjured.
Police say Laster’s car crossed the center line causing the crash. Todd County Coroner Timothy Wells pronounced Laster dead at the scene.
The roadway was blocked for several hours. Kentucky State Police are investigating the crash.
