Republicans Carry Todd County Votes For 2023 General Election

Republicans carried the vote in all statewide races in Todd County for the 2023 November General Election.

The county saw 2,672 voters cast a ballot, equating to a 31.6% voter turnout. Todd County Clerk Cindy O’Bryan was pleased with the turnout.

All Republican candidates won their respective races in the county with votes anywhere from 66 to 73.5%.

Although Governor Andy Beshear was re-elected to a second term, Beshear lost to former Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron, 1,753 to 907. In the Secretary of State race, Michael Adams beat out Charles Wheatley, 1,922 to 696.

Russell Coleman beat out Pamela Stevenson in Todd County for the Attorney General race, 1,889 to 710. Meanwhile, the Auditor of Public Accounts and State Treasurer races were each won with nearly 1,200 votes.

Jonathan Shell, the Republican nominee for Commissioner of Agriculture, beat out Sierra Enlow in Todd County, 1,900 to 684.
Of the ballots cast in Todd County, approximately 21 were cast through absentee mail-in, while 10 were absentee walk-in. Early voting accounted for over 280 county votes.

O’Bryan reminded county residents who wish to vote in 2024 – to make sure their voter information is correct.

O’Bryan thanked her poll workers, office staff, and the Todd County Board of Elections for their efforts over the last few months in preparing for this election.
