Todd County Central High School has many homecoming activities planned for Thursday, Oct. 5 and Friday, Oct. 6.
Depending on the weather, the homecoming parade is currently scheduled for 5:15 p.m. Thursday, according to school counselor Brandi Francies. She says the parade will begin at the school.
The parade will be led by school resource officer Tracey Mayberry.
Friday, Todd Central will celebrate 60 years and host a special homecoming tailgate, where all classes are invited to come back and celebrate together.
16 free VIP spaces are left for tailgating, and Francies asks that interested parties reserve a space ahead of time. After spots fill up, everyone else will be placed on the front lawn.
The school store will also be open Friday, as well as something called “memory lane”.
The homecoming king and queen will be crowned before the 7 p.m. kickoff, and Todd Central’s 1970 football team will be recognized during halftime.
WEKT will broadcast the parade and football game live on 1070 AM, as well as stream on wektradio.com and the free WEKT app.
