The Todd County 10th Annual Hay Bale Trail arrives the first official day of fall on Sept. 23.
All hay bale entries are in and participants are hard at work, including Todd County Chamber of Commerce Director Tiffany Groves.
Cash prizes for winning hay bale displays have doubled since last year, according to Groves. Prizes will be awarded to winners of the small, large and mega categories with amounts of $150, $250 and $500, respectively.
The “fan favorites” Chamber Bucks prizes have also increased since last year, now offering $300 for first place, $200 for second and $100 for third. Groves says Chamber Bucks are a way of supporting local businesses and encouraging “shopping locally” to boost Todd County’s economy.
Groves adds commemorative t-shirts will be available for this year’s event.
There are 11 sponsors for the 2023 Hay Bale Trail.
Hay Bale displays can be viewed tomorrow until Oct. 22.
