The Todd County Board of Education held its monthly meeting on Monday evening at South Todd Elementary School, where they took the time to honor the outstanding student and staff member for September 2023.
Principal Jennifer Oyler proudly announced that 5th grader Maggie Skipworth was chosen as the student of the month, highlighting her numerous exceptional qualities.
Oyler commended Skipworth for embodying several great attributes, showcasing her dedication to her studies, her kindness towards her peers, and her willingness to go above and beyond in all aspects of her school life. Skipworth’s commitment to excellence serves as an inspiration to her fellow students and sets a high standard for academic achievement.
Moving on to the staff member of the month, Todd County Middle School Principal Kim Davis presented the award to George Riddick, a valued member of the school community who unfortunately couldn’t attend the meeting due to his numerous responsibilities within the school.
Davis emphasized Riddick is known for his willingness to lend a helping hand to both students and staff members, and it’s not uncommon to see students assisting him with various tasks across the school.
