Todd County Central High School is receiving positive feedback from students, parents, and staff in regard to their concealed weapons detection equipment.
Principal Lee Quarles told the Todd County Board of Education last week, that all parties involved enjoy the simple process of using the system.
Superintendent Mark Thomas said one positive of the equipment – it detects vape devices, which students and faculty are not allowed to have on campus.
Thomas added there are a few school districts that are evaluating the purchase of similar devices and have been asking for his feedback on them.
Quarles added they would like to have another device in the school, and will look into getting one if they can find the extra funding. The board also expressed interest in having them in other schools and at sporting events.
