Frogue Family Spends Labor Day Weekend Making Sorghum

Making sorghum syrup continued to be a Labor Day weekend tradition for Todd County Central FFA President Emily Frogue and her family.

Emily Frogue, whose SAE project in FFA is working on the family-owned B & B Farm, says sorghum making is a big part of her project. She says the sorghum begins with planting in the Spring.

click to download audioShe says the family enjoys keeping a tradition alive on the farm with the sorghum making. Emily adds the juice is squeeze from cane plants using an antique press that her father Brian purchased in Georgia a few years ago.
