The Todd County Sheriff’s Office announced upcoming traffic safety checkpoints that will be in place in September and October.
The checkpoints will be set up at points throughout that period at:
- Old Railroad Lane and U.S. 79
- Old Railroad Lane and KY 848
- U.S. 79 and KY 102
- U.S. 41 and KY 104 – Trenton
- KY 181 and KY 107 – Clifty
- KY 106 and Mt. Sharon Road – Sharon Grove
- KY 171 and KY 507 – Allegre
- KY 171 and KY 107 – Kirkmansville
- KY 181 and Highland Lick Road
Law enforcement offices in Kentucky are required to publish traffic safety checkpoints locations. The checkpoints are temporary stops to enforce traffic laws, identify impaired drivers, and promote road safety. During the stops, officers check licenses, registrations, and insurance, and conduct sobriety tests.
